Another successful workshop was held on Saturday at the UK Shaolin Temple in Southampton. We had visitors from all over the country, including families and friends of our students.
In a friendly and open atmosphere, everyone participated in exercises and games that improve strength and dexterity. Realistic scenarios were used to demonstrate practical self defense skills. These included attacks from behind, takedowns and holds, as well as knife attacks.
All students learnt key locking, grappling and escape techniques. To avoid injuries, everyone had to pay attention to the techniques and practiced with great concentration. Despite this serious theme, there was also a lot of laughter and funny episodes.
Everyone learnt new techniques and improved exisiting skills. These will also be further practiced in our weekly combat or sanda classes. So keep up the good work and enjoy the training.
